I started my career as Art Director for leading South African magazines, after which I proceeded to advertising agencies. My duties included managing of designers and directing the creativity and art of each respective company I was working with.
I have been a Creative Direction for almost six years. This includes directing and managing artists, designers, web developers, animators, social media consultants, copywriters and freelancers - in advertising, media and publishing.
As an experienced writer and editorial manager, copywriting comes naturally to me. I have successfully applied my communicative skills in my career as Copywriter and as a result have been awarded and nominated for top awards in South Africa.

The bulk of my design career has been in an advertising capacity (publishing and ad agencies).
I also understand the disciplines of advertising on a global scale as a result of my career as Creative Director: Media Intelligence and Strategy.
I am a keen photographer and have applied my photography skills in my career as designer and layout artist.
My layout work comprises page layout (newspapers and magazine), newsletters, editing and sub-editing as well as publishing art direction.
Since my first senior title as magazine Art Director, have I been involved in the management of business units. I have managed and directed intimate departments as well as large divisions for blue-chip corporations. I have the skills to be an effective leader and understand the principles of people-management, mentorship and guiding departments.
